Long time coming....

What a crazy week! Ok so it's been a week and a half but still we have been so busy, I have hardly had time to think, let alone Blog. So let me pick up where I was supose to over a week ago. Austin had his christmas program on Friday December 19th.
I was not able to go becasue I had to work, but Dusty went. Austin was so excited about Dusty and Granny being there that he had a hard time even sitting with his class! He really wanted to give Dusty a high five, but his teacher made him stay with the class! He's a crazy kid for sure! They had a great program, and when it was over he got to go home with Dusty and Granny and they picked Missy up and went to Grandma and Grandpa's house with Popey and Granny!

The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins, Chase, Dustin, Bradley, and Tynan. Dusty and I joined them when we finally got off work. After dinner we started a pool tournament in the basement, I was very surprised that despite my large pregnant belly I could actually still shoot a descent game of pool!
Unfortunately Dusty still beat me, but that's OK because I know when I am not pregnant I can really give him a run for his money! In the end, Darren and Steven won when Grandpa scratched on the 8 ball! Tough luck for him and Dad! Then we did our family gift exchange. The kids were very excited about giving presents to their cousins! They were excited about giving them too, but for some reason my kids get just as excited (if not more) about giving people gifts! They also got presents from Grandma and Grandpa, who were not going to join us for our Christmas day events. Austin and Chase both got these really cool "Support Recess" shirts! Austin can't wait to go back to school next week so that he can wear it! All in all it was a great family get together. Big thanks to Grandma who for some reason still likes to have here house full with all of our shenanigans, and crazy kids! And to Grandpa, he's certainly a good sport!

And now we come to Christmas morning! We had a house full for breakfast, and then Malcolm had to go to work! So we had to keep the kid-o's occupied while Popey, Uncle Brandon, and Uncle Derwin drove him over to Jackson for work. We watched lots of Christmas video's, and then let them open these really cool cars that Grandpa Craig, and Grandma Terry sent them! They are called Plasma Cars, and the kids LOVE them! They will be terrors in the neighborhood with them this summer, but for now they enjoy just driving them around the house! Austin and Dusty got a set of marshmallow guns from Grandma Di, so now I will get to pick marshmallows up all over my house! Thank you Grandma Di!!! They can't wait to shoot them at each other! Once things settled down around our house we were able to relax before cooking dinner.

After dinner Popey, Granny and Derwin all went home, but Grandma Di and Chris got snowed in when all of the roads closed, so they stayed the night, and Brandon hung around for a while! It was fun to have them here, and the kids sat up with us to play a game of Phase 10 dice. Austin gave up and went to bed half way through the game, but Melyssa was a trooper and played the whole game! But in the end, Brandon beat her by 1 point! As for the picture, this is Stanley deciding that moms fat prego belly made a good pillow! LOL, the funny thing is that Lindsay didn't even mind. She didn't squirm and kick him off like she usually does when something or some one invades her bubble! So there is my quick catch up on Christmas! Now lets get to the reason I haven't written sooner............on Friday I started having contractions, so by the end of the day there was a window of time that the pass to Jackson would be open and we took the opportunity to head over and get checked. Sorry folks, no baby yet, but I have hypertension, so I am now on bed rest for the remainder of the pregnancy. I spent 27 hours in the hospital doing tests, only to come home and wait until Friday for further news! Don't' worry though I'll keep you posted on our progress. More baby news on Friday!

The Holidays....

On Saturday Dusty, Austin, Popey, and my self went on a mission to cut down Christmas trees! Luckily we live in the middle of the mountains so it didn't take long to find two perfect trees. When we got it home the kids got busy decorating it!Here is Austin showing off his ornament! Isn't he a hoot?

This is my miss priss she liked the glittery ones the best!
Unfortunately the kids are too short to reach the top of the tree so all of the ornaments went on the bottom! That's where mom comes in right?

And then today was Melyssa's Christmas program at school. I didn't get to go because I had to work. (sadness) Luckily Dusty was able to make it and took lots of pictures for me! Austins Program is Friday, so stay tuned for more great pics of my kids!

Getting Bigger!

Since everyone seems to enjoy watching my fat belly get bigger, her is the latest in my prego pics! Here we are at 34 weeks, and don't worry Adalynn, I tied the goose to the ceiling so it can't get me. LOL Only five weeks to go until induction, yay for that! She will be here before we know it!

TAGGED........oh Michaela!

Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 16 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 16 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you.

1. I'm pregnant! Wow I'll bet none of you knew that. Ha ha..... But seriously this is my third. I have a lot of friends in Jackson and Victor who can't understand why we would want to have more kids. In all reality though having kids isn't such a life changing event. I include my kids in everything I do, and if it wasn't for the whole pregnancy thing I would have more! I love my kids!

2. I hate feet..........with a passion. I think that I hate feet more than just about anything. I don't like people touching my feet, and I certainly don't touch other peoples feet. I don't even touch my own feet except right after a bath or shower.

3. I would really like to finish school some day. It's crazy how life can get in the way of little goals, but I quit taking classes when i only had 4 semesters, approximately, left now I really wish I had the time and patients to just dive in and finish.

4. I love my husband! I know I know if I didn't I wouldn't be married to him, but seriously I love him more all the time. It's hard to believe after coming out of such a horrible relationship before that I could fall so completely for some one and continue to feel the way that I do. He is such an amazing person, is always helping with everything around the house, and he is so good with the kids! To top all of that off he has great communication skills. We very rarely argue, but when we do it never takes long to talk things out.

5. My parents Rock! I don't know what i would do with out my mom and dad. They have stood behind me through my dumbest choices, and worst consequences of my life. I have always known that I can count on them for anything!

6.I'm very sad that I may not get to snowboard this year. So here's the thing, baby is due in January, and I may or may not get to strap a board on this winter. I am going to cross my fingers, and hope for the best. But honestly there are no guarantees, and I can't be certain!

7. I love my job! I mean really it doesn't get much better than this. I get a free season pass to the resort I work at, and as many free day passes as I want to Grand Targhee. That isn't the only reason I love my job though, I also just love living up here. I love the mountains, and the people here are so nice! Of course there are draw back to my job. Some of our guests are very high maintenance, and expect a lot when they get here, sometimes there is nothing you can do to make people happy!

8. My daughter is my clone! some of you may not really know my little girl. She looks just like me, and acts just like me most of the time. It really blows my mind sometimes to see pictures of me at her age, she looks the same!

9. I have never played in the ocean. It's crazy I know, especially since I was born in Washington state, but my parents moved back to Idaho when I was a baby, and I have never had the chance to go back.

10. Despite my disgust for feet I love shoes! I wouldn't call it an obsession or anything, but I love the way it feels to have just the right pair of shoes to go with my outfit. I also think that a great set of heels is just plain feminine, and are almost always appropriate. This is probably my girliest feature, shoes are my friends.......

11. My life has been blessed with AMAZING friends! I am sure that everyone thinks this, but really mine are the best you can get. I can't tell you how many times mine have been there when I needed them, and they never let me down. I hope that one day I am lucky enough to return the favor, if just a little bit!

12. I love to cook, and believe it or not, I'm actually pretty good. It does help that I have a husband who really likes to eat. I'm telling you we really are the perfect match!

13. I'm really not crazy about sweets. Now I'm not going to say that I don't like any, ever. The chocolate you sent was to die for Michaela, but if I have my choice between seconds at dinner, and saving room for desert, I'd rather have seconds. Sweets are only good when I'm really craving them.

14. I really love my little bro! My family is very close, but I have to admit Darren holds a very special place in my heart, I would do anything for him. He is also the most fun to hang out with, and he is so patient! He has really helped me learning to snowboard. I'm still not what you would call good, but I can get down from the top of a mountain without killing myself, and I think that says something.

15. Patience is a virtue, that I don't have. Maybe that is why my children are so well behaved, but the truth is I really don't have any patience for stupidity. Melyssa and Austin are good kids but even they have their moments when I wonder what in the world was going through their heads. It's silly things like that that I just can't handle.

16. I see no reason to sugar coat anything. I try to be as honest as possible with everyone. If I don't like you, you will know it, and if I have something to say to you believe we will be talking about it. It is always best to never say anything behind someones back that you wouldn't say to their face. And I never make up silly stories to explain to the kids why a pet is gone, or a person for that matter, if they died, they died that's life and now is as good a time as any to learn to accept it.

Ta da, that's it. So now to tag, Michaela has already done this but it says to tag her too. Stacy Michaela has tagged you, hmm so Aunt Shelly, Adalynn, Russ, Dorothy, Jen, Nicky, and any one else who just feels like joining in! Happy tagging everyone!

Seriously????

Welcome to the holiday season, after 5 years of working at Walmart I was beginning to think that nothing could surprise me. Enter Black Friday 2008, people trampled into a Walmart store in New York killing a man and sending a pregnant woman to the hospital. Which leaves me wondering.......what's the point? Christmas is suppose to be about self sacrifice, and gratefulness. Those who are involved in these kinds of shenanigans have no right being out there in the first place. If you aren't celebrating for the right reasons, then there is no point in celebrating at all! The people involved in the mans death showed absolutely no remorse for what had happened, all they were worried about is getting their great buys. There is no better time to take a step back, and look at what we are becoming. Come on people!

Baby Shower!

Saturday June, Patty, and Melinda hostessed a baby shower for me! It was held at Patty's house, and there was a good turn out! Before I get too far I want to say thank you to the three of you for all of your work putting this together!

June made the cake! She also made nachos and punch for lunch, it was very good!
We got a lot of great gifts from everyone! Thank you to every one who was able to come. We certainly appreciate the help. Since my baby is now 6 I don't have anything left from when my first two were baby's.

This little hat and scarf is one of my favorite things. Darrens girlfriend Kelsey made it for me! I love home made gifts!

Halloween fun!

It's Halloween again! This was our second Halloween in our house, and boy did we have fun. We stared out the festivities on Thursday night with some good old fashioned pumpkin carving.
Melyssa and I carved a goofy Jack-o-lantern, and Austin and Dusty carved a scary one! The kids were very proud of their work! (so was Dusty!)

Then last night our house was invaded by two crazy rodeo clowns! They were looking for bulls but I had to explain to them the many reasons why I don't keep a bull in the house!

They were soon joined by a mischievous little fairy, after feeding them dinner I was able to send them on their way to find some after dinner goodies!

While on their quest for goodies I received a visit from Little Red Ridding Hood and The Big Bad Wolf. We were luckily able to pacify the wolf with candy long enough to get him out of the house!

Darren and Kelsey came over as well, and after a very serious make over Darren decided to call it a night. Doesn't he look great!

But last nights fun was just not enough for the kids, this morning they got up and put on each others costumes! I thing that Austin makes quite the fairy! All and all we had a fun night, and the kids got quite the stash of candy! Hopefully everyone else had as much fun as we did!!
Happy Halloween!!

So far though I haven't gained as much weight as I did while I was pregnant with my Austin. And for those who don't know we are having an ultrasound tomorrow, so cross your fingers that baby will give us a look!

RIP Grandma

So we saw it coming, but it still hurts a little. Yesterday my moms mother passed away. She was only 73 years old, but suffered from Alzheimer's, and diabetes. About 2 weeks ago her kidneys failed, and it had been a waiting game ever since. She isn't feeling any more pain now, and I'm certain that her memory is now crystal clear. For her happiness, I am so glad that her wait is finally over. I want to take a moment for every one to think about Alzheimer's, and the affect it has on many families. My great grandpa (grandma's dad) died from Alzheimer's in his early 80's, so far my grandam is the only one of her siblings showing serious symptoms. But these can happen to anyone, and it is always good to be aware of the signs and symptoms. Please take some time to check out this web site.
There are things we can do to slow the onset of Alzheimer's, as well as medications that can be taken. The most important thing though is to recognize the signs early enough to make a difference. Remember that above all a healthy diet and regular exercise can postpone the onset of most diseases. I love you all, so lets think healthy!!

Husband tag, oh dear!

Oh Adalynn, what would I do without you! Now that I have been tagged, I feel as if I am obligated to fill it out. So here it is for all of you who don't know him. My thoughts on my husband!
1.Where did you meet? LOL this is a good story. We met at a bar in Idaho Falls. I was playing pool there on a league every other Monday. I was in the middle of my divorce, and was very uninterested in him! He though it was funny to watch his friends buy my drinks and hit on me only to get shot down.

2.How long did you date before you were married? 1 1/2 years, we started dating 6 months after we met.

3.How long have you been married for? 2 1/2 months, still newly weds!

4. What does he do that surprises you? Not a day goes by that he doesn't surprise me in some ways. I am still surprised every day at what a great dad he is. We only have my 2 right now, but every night he comes home and sits with each of them for a few minutes and asks how school was, and he really listens and interacts with them. It's quite breath taking!

5.What is your favorite quality about him? That he can be so sweet. He's a once bull rider, hard working construction worker, but you would never guess that when he cuddled up to my belly talking to baby!

6.Does he have a nickname for you? Just the usuals, sweet heart, honey, you know.

7.What's his favorite color? He doesn't really have a favorite color, maybe hunter orange? And his favorite print is definitely Camo!!

8. What's his favorite food? He's a human garbage disposal, to be honest I don't think he even tastes it while he eats, but he loves it really spicy.

9. What's his favorite sport? Hunting for sure! He dreams of water fowl opening day for months, and even now he is deer hunting with my dad, uncle's, and brother!

10. Who said "I love you" first? That was a joint effort I guess. We have always kept very open lines of communication, and one night we were talking and decided that we were in love. Maybe it wasn't the most romantic way to make the discovery, but it made us both happy!

11.When and where was your first kiss? LOL another good story. This was before we started dating. It was Halloween, I had just taken the kids out, and then dropped them off at my parents house because I was working 2 jobs all weekend. I got back into Idaho Falls with plenty of time to spend so I went over to the Blue wave where I play pool. When I sat at the counter Sherry yells "Kirsten" Then puts 3 quarters on the counter and informs me that Dusty is sitting around the corner and maybe he would like a game. We played several games talked, and at the end of the night I gave him a ride home. He kissed me in the car outside of his house, then just went inside.

12. What's your favorite thing to do as a couple?Just hang out, we really just enjoy each others company. So it doesn't matter if we are sitting home watching foot ball, or hanging out with friends at the bar, we have a good time!

13.Do you have kids? Lets see together we have Saidie (she's one of our yellow labs) and baby will be here in January!

14.What's a hidden talent he has? Building, he sometimes takes my camera to work and brings home pictures of what he's working on, he has installed some amazing hard wood floors, and builds stairs like a pro! I seriously think he could build anything!

15. How old is he? 25

16. What's his favorite type of music?Country

17. What do you admire most about him? His ability to just take things as they come. He very rarely gets worked up about anything.

18.What's his favorite pastime? Hill Climbs, yes my hubby is a sled head. But he loves it, and I have to admit, I really enjoy going with him, and watching. I am a little worried about him actually getting on one himself though.

19. Will he read this?Probably not, he doesn't touch the computer unless it is hunting related, and then I am shocked that he can ever find what he's looking for!

Alrighty now I tag.... Michaela!

Yucky Snows!

So it starts, it doesn't seem like that long ago when I was posting pictures of snow, and here I am once again giving every one a look at the good ol' Jackson life! It has snowed off and on for the last two days and today it seems the real storm has finally hit. This is what I have to look forward too when it is time for me to drive home from work, the top of the Teton Pass. Yipee! Atleast the plows are out.

Growing and growing!

Time seems to fly until you reach a certain point, and I am now at that point! It's so hard to believe that I am more than half way through the pregnancy, but at the same time the last few weeks have felt so drug out. So here I am, 24 weeks and counting. Only 16 to go, but I have a feeling that the next 16 weeks are going to take a long time!
And thank you Michaela, for the cute top, I love it!

Friday, September 19, 2008

Awe, 22 weeks and counting!

This is for all you little kiddies who wait so anxiously for new belly pics! This is what I look like at 22 weeks! We're half way there, and I am starting to really feel it. This whole pregnancy thing was so much easier to do when I was 20 and 21, now at 27 I feel like i'm falling apart! But i',m half way through now, so I think I can stick it out a few more months!
Now you all know what I look like without any make up on! LOL, I guess I could have atleast tried! Love you all!

Baby blues......

So here we are, another ultrasound, and still we do not know if baby is a boy or a girl. We got to see some great shots of baby's feet! All ten perfect little toes, so we know that baby is developing well. The heart looks good, and the upper lip, but still no shot of the genitalia! But we will get another shot on October 30th, apparently the placenta is still low there fore we will be getting another ultra sound. Thank heavens for insurance is all I have to say!

getting older......what does that say about their mom!

Well as much as I hate to admit it, it's that time of year again! My babies are getting much too old. If any of you know of a way to keep them small a little bit longer, I would be grateful for the advise! But since I haven't found that miricle cure for aging, my children have once again become a year older! Yesterday was their birthday party, and today my little man is 6 years old, on the 10th baby girl turns 7, not much of a baby any more! My how time flies. It seams like only yesterday they were little babies who slept, ate pooped and cuddled. Now that the easy part is over all I have left of my babies is 2 old monsters!

The biggest change I have experienced as the kids have gotten older is the increasing number of other kids at their party. When they were little we would invite close family and friends and there was a minimum number of children. Now when we have birthday parties the children usually out number the adults! We now experience the true essence of a child's birthday party! The other big change is the number of toys they receive at the party. As babies they were given a lot of cloths, but now it's toy central. (just for reference, it took me 2 1/2 hours this morning to remove these toys from their insanely

complex packaging) And now that my fingers hurt from opening and assembling, and now that all of the screaming yelling, and running has stopped, it's time to clean my kitchen and try to restore my home to it's original state! All and all, I have to say that the party was a success, and we had so much fun with everybody! Thank you to every one who came and celebrated their birthdays, and for those who didn't make it, we miss you, and hope to see you soon!
As a side note, I would like to mention one very important lesson which I learned. My house is not ready for baby! Having a one and two year old in the house made that very clear to me!!! But what can I say?? I have a 6 and 7 year old!!
Love you all!

Tuesday, August 26, 2008

Ok kids, here it is, the 19 week belly! It's hard to see but the belly is growing! We are down to the last 20 weeks. Since we are having baby in January we don't want to risk going into labor at home, and therefore we will be setting an induction date a week prior to the due date. Also, we will be getting another ultra sound on September the 11th, so keep your fingers crossed that baby will give us a good luck, and hopefully we can give baby a name! Even though Baby Eubank is pretty cute!!

More fishing fun!

On Sunday we had another fishing trip with my Mama and Papa! This time we got to take the chitlans it was their first time fishing from a boat!
Melyssa didn't sit still in the boat and she fell and hurt her bottom. Poor Missy Mae!

It took some coaxing, but we finally got them to go swim in the river! They waded out up stream from Dusty, and then he caught them as they floated by!

Dusty caught a nice rainbow on Austins Spider Man fish pole! Isn't he cute?

Austins was too little, we had to put it back, but not before he gave it a good luck kiss! What a silly little man!

And Melyssa caught her first fish too! Way to go baby girl, now next time try to catch a bigger one!

That was our family outing! We had so much fun swimming and catching fish. The kids were great, and it's a good thing too, because we were on the river for 9 hours!

It starts......

This is my moment to vent..........kind of. I have just started that part of the pregnancy that comes with cravings......and so far i haven't had healthy ones!! So many people say your pregnant, you can eat whatever you want.........Ha ha ha.......do those people realise how hard it is to get rid of excess weight after baby is born? I'm guessing not. I went through this after my son was born. I ate what I wanted when I wanted it, and the end result was a 50 lbs weight gain, and 2 years of really hard work. Even with the work outs, and diets it was really hard to keep the weight down. So I have been trying really hard to ignore unnecessary cravings. So far I have done well, and I haven't gained a lot of weight. In fact I lost so much weight during morning sickness, that I am still 2 lbs down from my preprego weight. Not too bad I would say! The best part is that Even though I haven't gained a lot of weight, baby is growing right on schedule, and everything has developed well.
Now this is where I get to the point. I have decided that the best way to keep this up is to let everyone know how I'm doing! I figure if I know that I have to tell every how things are going I'll be more likely to stick to it. So wish me luck as the 4 months of weight gain gets into full swing! And stay tuned, I'll keep you posted on how things are going!!

It's Baby Eubank!

Awe, the long awaited ultrasound! We have been very impatiently awaiting our next look at baby, and quite honestly hoping that we would get a little peek at the gender. As it turns out baby is camera shy! Baby sat cross legged the whole time, and wouldn't look at us. So next month we will have another peek, to check for cleft palette, and hopefully find out if baby is a boy or a girl! But for now here are some of my favorite shots of Baby Eubank!
Here is a great profile pic! Look at that cute little nose! And baby's little ear!
And this one shows the side of baby's face, as well as the arm and hand.

These are baby's little arms! And the hands, go ahead and count, there are ten perfect little fingers, to Dusty's relief! If you don't know that joke, ask, I'll share it!

And last, but not least, there is baby's tiny little foot! Note that the foot also has 5 toes! We are so excited for our upcoming arrival, and hope that next month we can give Baby a name of it's own!

Fishing!!

Awe, the great out doors! Now that life is starting to slow down for us we decided to join my parents on a fishing trip! We floated 7 hours on the teton river, and it was so nice! The Tetons are beatiful and the river was very relaxing!
Thats mom and dad. They are the best! Dad and Dusty sure had fun seeing who could catch the most fish, sorry hunny, Dad won!
But Dusty did get 3 really nice rainbows, we cooked two of them at a party last night, and we are planning on having the other one tonight. I love fish!
And here is the great fisherman! He's such a goofball!! Love you all, and hope the your weekend is going as great as mine!

The lady with the cakes!

I want every one to meet June. For those who don't know her, she is definitely one of the most wonderful, and talented women I know! June did a ton of behind the scenes work for the wedding. She made little chocolates for the treat bags, and even stuffed the bags for me! She even made special little ducks that looked like mallards just for Dusty! And when she offered to make the cakes for the wedding
Dusty immediately told her that he wanted
cheese cake! and look what she gave us! Six of them to be exact! It was simply amazing, and they taste really good too! But on top of the cheese cakes she also did the wedding cake and I can't tell you how extraordinary it was I have to show you! The whole
table was just awesome! So my biggest thanks to the woman behind the scenes, June, I hope you know how much your hard work means to both of us! The cakes were just amazing!
