What can I say?

Long story short I made it through hunting season.........correction, I made it through bow season.  I guess that bow season is about 1/3 of the battle.  Rifle starts in 2 weeks, and then it's right into duck and goose.  Like I don't have enough going on as it is now I spend the fall and early winted playing single mom.  I could have sworn that I got married so that I wouldn't have to do that anymore.........

For the most part I seem to be hanging in pretty good.  Given the fact that Lindsays had an ear infection, Austin's soccer is finally over, and now Melyssa wants to do ballet.  Some where through out the day I have to put in an 8 hour shift at work (thank god I have my mom or this would be an unobtainable goal), and for some reason my kids seem to think I need to cook them dinner.  Do kids really need to eat EVERY night?

I'm currently looking forward to the 18th of October when the Inn closes for 8 weeks.  Then I'll get paid to stay home and be mom for a while!  I do have things in mind to accomplish though during my 8 weeks of not so restful time off!

  1. Make my halloween costume for Vegas
  2. Sew Austin a new quilt
  3. Read Hunger Games
  4. Paint the kitchen
  5. Loose 10 lbs! (this is most important ;)
  6. Read The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe with my kids
  7. Potty Train Lindsay (lol, right!)
So 6 of the 7 are acheivable, Lindsay probably isn't quite ready for potty training it's just wishful thinking!  So here's to a great off season as a "single" mom!

Love you all!!

Family Up date!

Hey every one!  I can't believe that it is already May!  This year is just flying by.  So to start things out I have a new job!  Two of them in fact.  At the end of April I started working at Ridgline Athletics, that's the gym in Victor.  I work 3 nights a week and so far, it's great.  It's a very chill atmosphere and is pretty much my me time!  I also accepted a job the first of may at Teton Springs Lodge and Spa.  I work the Front Desk in the hotel as well as some concierge work.  This will be my full time day job!!  Dusty is going crazy being a stay home daddy, but hopefully he will be back to work soon as well.
The kids are doing great.  They are very excited for summer to get here and keep asking which day it will be summer!  They have 4 weeks of school left!  Academically they are both still doing awesome, I have the smartest kids!  Lindsay is a whole different ball game though.  She is so handsy, and is such a mommy's girl! Can't even hug me without her freaking out.  She'll run over and try to push him away from me, and forget cuddling on movie nights!  It would appear that the man in our house wears very small pants!!!
So there it is.  For any one who still reads this I have officially updated and posted new pics.  TTFN!

Busy Little Bees!

Hey there every one!  I know that you have all been on the edge of your seats waiting for an update!  I'm sorry I have been a total slacker lately, I will try to be better!  Okay so Girl Scouts is going great!  Melyssa has sold 160 boxes of cookies this year!  I am very proud of her for hitting up the neighborhood and doing the work! She is at the top of her class in reading, and this year she has science too, which she loves!  This is a picture of some of the girls in her scout troop!
Austin has been quite the handful lately, I have had to remind myself why I love him some days~!  JK really he's doing great in school.  He's at the top of his class in reading, and pretty close in math.  He loves his teacher, and has learned a lot this year.   I am very lucky to have such smart kids!  then theres the monster.....what can you say about Lindsay?   She's been great!  She certainly keeps me on my toes, and if I don't keep a close eye on her she will climb anything!

Guess who's 1!

Ok so maybe I am a few weeks late, but Miss Lindsay is officially 1!  It's hard to believe just how fast the year has gone!  From Primary Childrens Hospital, to a running screaming banshee!  Awe the wonders of parent hood.  She pulled through the hard times like the stubborn little turd she is, and has greatly acceded the doctors expectations.  Not only was she walking by Thanks Giving, but she also pushes little Zola around on her car!  What a girl!  Big thanks to every one who stood by us through the tough times, and offered up their prayers to help her get better.  Without all of you she wouldn't be the little ball of excitement she is today!
