Just a thought

So lately I have been thinking a lot about friends, and who really counts as a "friend" in my life. What I have realized is that people tend to "collect" friends. By this I mean that we hold on to people in our lives that may have done us wrong, and maybe just aren't good to be around, just for the sake of calling them a "friend". For this reason I have decided that it is time to rid my life of the people who really don't add to it. This move will be most visible in my phone list on the cell, and my friends list on myspace. The good thing is that I don't for see gaps in my life by getting rid of said "friends". I have so many wonderful friends who I know that I can count on for anything, and who i would do the same for. Friends who have been there for me through the hard times, and laughed with me during the good ones. Friends who know me inside and out, who know what important to me, and who care about me, and my feelings. For this reason I don't have room in my life for fake friends. You all know which ones I'm talking about. The ones who hang out and have a good time with you, then try to hook your guy up with their cousin......Ceejay...oops was that my out loud voice......oh well. Or how about the one says call me lets hang out, and then you tell him your engaged and so excited, and then you never hear from him again.....hmmmm Val what were you hoping for? Or even better, this one is my favorite, how about the girl who you go out of your way to be nice to, and pick her up at the air port. Make her dinner, and take her out to the lake for a picnic then drive her back to the airport and find out the next week that while you were busy doing all these nice things she was sleeping with your husband! (I'm not bitter though, well really I'm not any more, but I was for a loooooooong time!) So what is the moral of my story? It's simple, hang on to the people who are worth hanging on to and send back the ones who aren't!

How can this be boring?????

Welcome to one of the most beautiful places on Earth! So how is that I am soooo bored all of the time? For those who haven't been here, this is Snow King Hotel. It's such an amazing place in the summer, and there is so much to do! From white water rafting, to mountain biking, fishing, and horse back riding, there is something for everyone! Until off season hits. Unlike other towns where pretty much the same people are there year round Jackson Hole is a catch and release sort of town. People come in the winter to ski, then in the spring they are gone again. When summer hits it will be booming, but in September when it's too cold for summer activities, but no snow for skiing it's dead again. So for any of you who are wondering why I have so much time on my hands............it's simple. I seriously have nothing else to do! Look at how much snow is still on the mountain, and it's almost may!!! By this time last year the hiking trail to the summit was already clear, and they were starting to put down grass seed to cover the Hill Climb trail! Not this year though, no sir, in fact they are predicting more snow tomorrow! But don't worry, in a few more weeks it should clear up, and the hotel will start to fill, and chances are you will all be relieved of my ramblings!

To the life I have always wanted!!

Let me tell you a little something about Dusty Craig Eubank. A lot of people think they know him, and many more call him a friend, but let me let you in on a little secret.......he's not that rough. Sure he has Rugged good looks, and maybe sometimes he can be loud, and even a bit obnoxious. Some times he's demanding, and on occasion he can be completely out of line. One thing that most of you will never see though, is his soft side. Yes folks it's true he really does have one! It's hidden really deep down, and most people will never see it in their life time. But I have and sure enough, it's not a rumor, it really exists! Let me tell you about the guy who shares my bed. The one who makes sure, no matter what, the kids and I always have everything that we need. Have I mentioned that I can talk to him about anything? That no matter how heated the argument gets he is going to stand there and battle it out with me until we reach a conclusion. He's a deep breath of fresh air, never in my life have I ever met a guy who I feel so comfortable around. One who loves me for who I am even when I get a little loud and obnoxious! Awe, it's great, and now I know that not only does he love me, but he wants to keep me around. And that really makes me happy to know that I will always have what we have now!!!!

Growing So Fast!

It's so hard to believe when the doctor puts that tiny body in your hands that it will fade away so fast! You do your best to feed, clothe, and prepare them for what the future is bringing, and in the end what you realise is that only half of what you have to teach is really understood. It's so hard to believe that my baby will be 6 in 5 short month, but the reality is that he will be! Time certainly does fly when your having fun, and these past 5 1/2 years have been just that,
fun. I can't imagine ever doing anything different in my life, because by removing the mistakes I would have to remove everything that means anything to me. I Registered Austin for kindergarten today, and I just can't believe that he is already starting school. It seems like yesterday that I took him to the zoo for the very first time, and now look at him!!! He's so grown up!

Getting started!

Hey there folks! Welcome to my first blog! For those of you who I haven't seen for a long time let my start by saying that life is good! To catch you up, let me start by telling you about my amazing children! I was 20 when I had my first child. My little angel, Melyssa, was born on September 10th of 2001. To this day she never ceases to amaze me! She started Kindergarten this year and is doing awesome!

My little man came along the very next year! Austin was born on September 7th of 2001, they are my Irish twins! He really keeps me on my toes! I guess he's just what you expect from a boy. He starts school this fall, and is very excited to be able to get out of the house! He learned how to ride his bike without training wheels last summer, and can't wait for the snow to melt so that he can get back out there and ride it!

Their dad and I got divorced in October of 2006, I think that's the best decision I have made since I married him! Since then I have my life has been great! I am currently working front desk and Snow King Resort in Jackson Hole WY. See the building behind Traci and I?? That's where I work! It's great. The people are awesome and I get the weekends off to spend time with my kids, that is when they aren't at their dads! I try to got some board time in during the winter, but didn't get much time this year. This particular pic was taken after we got off the mountain. (that may explain the lack of make up, as well as the messy hair!)

I met Dusty Eubank in the wake of my divorce. Even after buying me drinks and begging for a date I didn't give in! Finally 5 months later, in January of 2007 I caved and we hung out. A few dates later we were inseparable, and in February I decided that all the other guys just weren't worth it! We have been together for a year, and 2 months now and things couldn't be better. He proposed on my Birthday and now all we have to do is set a date! Hows that for catch up?
