Wedding!

When I got divorced I was convinced that I would never do this again. I guess I was wrong! I'm so excited to think about how close we are to the wedding date. And so nervous because I know that there is still a lot to do. It's hard to believe that is almost June! That means it's only two months away! So every one wish me luck, but I think this time I actually got it right!

All about the View!!

One thing I have learned working at a resort, is that the view is everything! People come to Jackson, and they spend hundreds and thousands of dollars for a room with a view. So I want to share with all of you some of my favoite things close to home!!

This little stream is on Pine Creek Pass between Victor and Swan Valley!

This one is coming down Jackson Pass on the way to work. The fog Does some amazing things in these mountains!

This one was taken on a hiking trip up towards targhee!

And this one is Palisades Resivoir! It was relly low last summer!

And those are just a few of my favorite views close to home!

Unbelievable!

Dusty and I had a wonderful trip to see Adalynn and Ty this weekend! We had so much fun hanging out and talking, and Adalynn took some amazing pictures. This is the reason I have not posted this weekend, which I'm sure you will all forgive me for!! We have pictures now, so all we have to do is find a spot and print invitations. And I'm sure you will all agree that she did an unbelievably good job!!

Timing is everything!

You may not believe it, but I sure do. The right guy walks up to and asks you out, maybe the timing is bad, but that doesn't mean he will never stand a chance, it just means your not ready for him. Luckily for me the guy wasn't ready for was still around when I finally was! So remember the next time Things just aren't working out, or you feel rejected, that maybe it's not your time yet!

September......

So the month of September may not be that important to most people. School it already in session, and we all know that snow is just around the corner. I on the other hand celebrate not 1 but 2 birthdays in September! Yep it's true both of my kids are September babies. They love having their birthday parties together, for now. And even though they had to wait another year to start school, it's ok because it gave me another year to get ready for it! I love September!

Poor Q......

I totally skipped Q!!! I need to have Melyssa teach me the alphabet. Don't worry though, I caught it so here is my Q post. Questions, questions, questions, little kids are so full of questions. They always amaze me with the most random things. Missy asked me once where her moon sleeps (since she could talk it's been her moon), how cute is that? And I always try to answer their questions as honestly as I can, but some times they ask tough ones too. Luckily I haven't had to explain where babies come from. Melyssa figured that out a long time ago. All you have to do is eat your dinner all gone, every night, and then a baby grows in your tummy, and when it's all done the doctor cuts it out! Wow, it's nice to know the answer to that question!

Raging!!!!!

This is me pissy, and I'm just getting started today. I'm working on a Sunday, which is irritating any way, but I don't' feel well and I hate smokers. It's not just the fact that it stinks, but seriously do they need a break every hour? When I am stuck at the front desk for 8 hours 5 days a week and have to fight to find someone to cover a bathroom break. Then my telephone operator takes a smoke break every 45 min to an hour and throws a fit when I say no you just had a break. It pisses me off like no other! I didn't realize she gets paid to smoke!

Perfection??????

The search for perfection seems to be en grained into the brains of every one alive. Most of us want to believe that we have accepted our imperfections but how can you accept them when someone is constantly telling you to be better? Tabloids take photo's of cellulite on a movie stars thighs, or their not so flat belly's. And heaven for bid they should leave the house without make up! They make it so hard to look in the mirror, and be happy with what is there. Isn't it time to leave well enough alone, we are people not robots, and we are far from perfect. So wouldn't it be nice if fashion magazines and tabloids could accept that too! when we spend all of our time reaching out for perfection we miss a lot of very important things.

OH Dear......

Over stimulation, welcome to my world! With so much going on I'm my life right now I have a hard time believing that it is ever going to slow down. On top of the usual working and raising kids thing that I do I am planning a wedding. Like things weren't crazy enough huh? It's ok though, I'm making it through, and so are the kids!

Never say never

It will bite you in the butt every time! When I got divorced I said that I would Never get married again. I have watched divorce tear people apart. I've seen friends who just couldn't deal, who stopped taking care of themselves, and their families. I will never be that girl. No man will ever run my life to such an extreme that I am unable to take care of myself or my children. But what I have really learned over the last little while, is that it's ok to love someone so much that you want them in your life forever. And here I am planning another wedding, and taking that plunge one more time. But it doesn't make me weak, it only means I'm human and I too long for faithful companionship. Wish me luck, because here I go again!!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm....

M is so many wonderful things! Let me start with Melyssa! She is my clone, and her and Austin are my life, I don't know where I would be with out my beautiful baby girl! M&M's are definitely an M word, and muffins....yummy! Plus everyone knows that Campbell's soups are Mmmm Mmmm Good! but my Favorite thing ever is mother. My mom is amazing. She is one of the most fabulous women I know. She worked so hard when I was in High School to make sure things were taken care of, and I remember times when we didn't see each other for weeks. but she always left me notes! That's how we communicated! But the important thing isn't that she worked, it doesn't matter that she never got to see me perform or that I never really saw her. I knew she cared every time I found a note on my bed room door! Mom, your the best!

Better Late than Never!

So I have been going through the kids pictures the last couple weeks, and trying to get their scrap books all caught up before the wedding and everything else. I can't believe that I have gotten so behind on all of this stuff! When life gets busy the first activities to go are those that are "less" necessary. Now I am not saying that I believe they are unnecessary, but when you put everything into perspective it's now exactly the top of the importance list. I'm almost caught up though, so that will save me some time when I have wedding pictures and other silly stuffs to deal with. Like I always say better late than never!

Kirsten........

......if you're confused about the pronunciation you can look to your right and get a detailed description! My whole life I have had to deal with people pronouncing it wrong. That's just what you get when you have a name that's uncommon. So let me tell you a little bit about it, it's Scandinavian, the original spelling is Kjirsten, and it is pronounced pretty close to how it's spelled. Now here's my big thanks to Ingrid Blomquist for teaching me that one! It means stone church, so now the question I have always had is how well does my name really fit me? I think my parents did good!

Just in time for spring.......

...........we got a fresh layer of snow last night. How sad! It's hard to believe after several days of nice warm temps that we are now waking to the dreaded winter wonderland! Now don;t get me wrong, I love the snow, and all of the great activities that come with it, but it is now mid may, and I am starting to think that this white powdery (COLD) stuff is never going to leave. Can any one turn up the heat?

A little Impatient!

I think that I must be the most impatient person ever! I am certainly the most impatient person I know! People say that patients is a virtue, I say it's a virtue that I don't have. I can't remember the last time I was content just waiting things out, or if there ever was such a time. But at 27 years old I find myself even more impatient. I want so many things, and I want them now. I don't want to have to wait. I'm ready to finally call Dusty my husband, not my boyfriend, or my fiance, and I'm oh so ready for a baby. I decided last winter that yes, I want one more, and now it feels like it's taking forever to get there! I suppose it would do me some good to just sit back and take things in stride, but I have never been good at that. How long will it take to get what I REALLY want. A happy ending.........or maybe there isn't' such a thing.........

Home!

I think that home is the greatest thing ever! When I left my ex husband I had my world ripped out from underneath me, I had to stay with my grandparents for a few weeks until I could afford my own place, and I never really felt at home. Then almost a year ago I picked up and moved my kids to Victor and took my job her at Snow King. For 3 months we looked for a house, we stayed at my parents house, and Dusty and I slept in a tent in their yard! We finally got into our house, and let me tell you, I was never so happy to be "home" as I was the day we moved in! I love our home and I'm so happy to be able to go home!!

Gone Fishing!

I love fishing! Dusty and I did some fishing this summer and had an absolute blast! We took the kids a couple times, and Austin caught his
first fish ever! He was so excited about it, and as you can see it's almost as big as him. Dusty helped him clean it, and then we cooked it for dinner that night! He was stoked about being able to eat the fish that he caught all by himself! I have never seen him so proud! I can't wait to get out there again this summer, and spend some time together. It's such a great way to do it!

F is for......

Family!! I'm just going to put it out there. I have the BEST family ever! For starters my mom, she watches my kids every day while I go to work. She puts Melyssa on the bus and puts up with Austin the rest of the day. She helps with chores around the house, like dishes, and even the kid's laundry. She's at my house at 6 am every morning, and never complains! Now Dad is my ride to work. If I'm not quite ready, he sits and waits patiently. While I couldn't drive my car over the pass he arranged his schedule to make sure he could give me a ride to work. In fact my car was a Bbirthday gift form my Dad, and my little brother Darren. they payed half of the down payment to help me get into it! They Rock! And I certainly can't forget every one else. Brandon and June are always there. They are so fun to hang out with, and June is always ready to make a cake for birthdays, and just coming for dinner! Grandma and Grandpa were there to help me get back on me feet after I left my ex husband, and Adalynn is just one of those people I can always count on! I love you guys, and I hope that you realise how important you all are to me!

E oh E the letter E

Yeah so already I suck and missed a day, so I'm going to post 2 today to make up for it. My favorite thing that starts with e is evening. Why are evenings so great you might ask. It's because I get to be home! Home with Dusty and the kids is my favorite place ever, and in the evening everything is slower! It's nice to just relax. I even like it when we do work in the yard, and June and I have been going walking when I get off work and that is super relaxing!

it's D time....ha ha...

There are a few "D" things that I really love. For starters, D is for Dusty. He's amazing and I'm so happy that he's mine! But I can't stop there. My little brother Darren is also a wonderful part of my life. He's the greatest little brother a person could ever ask for. He is always thinking about others, and would gladly hand over the shirt off his back if he thought some needed it more. I think that he is one the most remarkable people I have ever had the privilege to meet, and I am so proud to tell every one that he is my lil bro!!

C is for cookie thats good enough for me!!

And Camera! I love my camera. It's so much fun to put them together in my scrap book, and be able to show every one! When you don't see people for a long time you miss out on a lot, and a picture is worth a thousand words! My kids love to see their books, and look at the pictures from when they were babies and marvel at the thought that they really did used to be that small!

The letter B!

Awe the letter b. My favorite b thing it BBQ! The best thing ever is having friends over to have a few drinks and fire up the grill! I can't tell you the number of great memories I have going to BBQ's with my family when I was little. And now I get to share those experiences with my kids. When friends bring their kids and they all get to play together. It's one of the greatest things ever. This pic was taken at Dusty's friend Kevin's house. What you don't' get to see is the volley ball net. We played some great games!!! While I'm her though let me tell you about my other favorite "B" word!! Blender!!! I love my blender. It will seriously do anything. It creates all of my favorite drinks from milk shakes to margaritas!!

Here's hoping....

a .....that i can keep up better than Adalynn!! So she started the ABC's daily posts, and only got to T, well I figured what the heck, I'll give it a try. A is for Adalynn.....YAY Adalynn!! She is the one who introduced me to the wonderful world of blogging! We met our sophomore year of high school, I set her up on a blind date with the friend of the guy I was seeing. That lasted the whole rest of that night. Our friendship however quickly grew and before we knew it we were doing everything together. Now we live in different states, and don't get to see each other as often as we would like, but we are still just as close. Thank you Adalynn for being such a big part of my life, and giving me someone to hang out with!! your the bestest!!
